Rondanihan (ACT)
In 2001, Roy and Dolly Ramirez prepared a proposal for the project "The Rondalla - a Filipino String Band". Since 2002 Rondanihan has performed at festivals, weddings and concerts in the ACT, NSW Queensland and the Philippines. Over 120 muscians have been trained in Rondalla performance on the Bandurria, Octavina, Laud, Guitar and Double Bass. Other instruments such as the didgeridoo, wobble-board and percussion have been introduced to enhance musical performances. Children and adults are welcome.

Philippine Studies Group (PSG)
The Philippine Studies Group is an organization of students, professionals and Filipino-Australian residents in the ACT based at the Department of Politics and Social Change, The Australian National University (ANU).

Philippine Cultural Society (PCS)
The Philippine Cultural Society (PCS) based in Canberra was formed 22 years ago. The aim of the PCS is to teach and promote Filipino culture to children and adults, focussing mainly on Filipino folk dances and tribal dances from different regions of the Philippines. Over the last two decades the PCS has performed for many charities and at many social functions. The PSC has also been involved in promoting good will towards the Filipino heritage among Canberra's diverse communities.

Sampaguita Ladies (ACT)
The Sampaguita Ladies group in Canberra has members of all ages. Some are in their 90's, but still active and young at heart. The Sampaguita Ladies are a civic and social group. The group reaches out to the wider Filipino community.
Sampaguita is the national flower of the Philippines. The fragrance of the Sampaguita flower is very attractive. Just as this beautiful sweet smelling flower spreads its attractiveness, the Sampaguita Ladies spread their sweet love, happiness and zest for life within the Filipino-Australian Community. |
Friends of Samar
The Friends of Samar evolved in 2004 when Chris and Perlita Swinbank started a Scholarship Fund through Samar College. When the families of Steve and Jo Padgham, Robert and Lydia Nichols, Paul and Janelle Flint visited the Sierra Islands in Catbalogan, Samar, it was to change the lives of the village people. Soon after that, friends from Canberra, Amsterdam, Oklahoma and California, started the yearly "pilgrimage" to Samar. The FCCACT and Friends of Samar donated money to build a Day Care school building. There have also been donations towards annual fiesta projects.

FilOz Youth (ACT)
The FilOz Youth association is a group of like-minded forward-thinking Filipino and Australian youth, The main aim of the organization is to advance cross-cultural sharing, promote Filipino values, give the youth a voice and provide a welcome and safe place to explore Filipino culture and make new friends. Some ways in which FilOz does this is through well-loved Filipino past-times like sport and dancing.
