#170 RFA Interview: Teody and Emma Francisco,
Organisers and Promoters for Joey Abando Concert in Canberra,
and Long-Time Entrepreneurs in Australia's Capital. (February 2018)
One of Canberra's unofficial Filipino-Australian first couples, Mr and Mrs Teody and Emma Francisco, who have run a successful Asian grocery store for many decades in Australia's capital, and who have generously given to the community in many ways, gave again this week by organising the very successful tour of Joey Abando to Canberra.
Teody and Emma also manager the T. and E. Asian Grocery store in the inner southeast Canberra suburb of Fyshwick. Visiting the grocery store, particularly on market days is a shoulder-to-shoulder experience due to the large crowds present. There is consequently a great flow of customers through the store due to its good location, in addition to the store's large range of products and the genuine welcoming personalities of Mr and Mrs Francisco.
