Atty. Dennis Quintero was recently elected chairman of the prestigious Philippines-Australia Business Council (PABC). He talked to RFA this week from Manila about the PABC, its vision, activities, and his role in it.
Atty. Quintero is a partner in the Corporate & Commercial Practice Group of Quisumbing Torres. He is ranked as a leading corporate individual by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific. He is consistently ranked as a leading individual in Band 1 Infrastructure, Energy/Natural Resources and Mining projects by prominent global economic and legal directories. In 2013 he was appointed co-chair of the International Bar Association and Australian Resources and Energy Law Association Southeast Asia in Singapore. He is also a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators.
He has advised some of the largest private companies, government corporations, and investment banks in Korea, Japan, Australia and Germany on joint venture negotiations, agreements, investment structures, as well as Philippine business laws on practice of profession, and permits required for foreign national workers He is at the forefront of big business relations between Australia and the Philippines.

The PABC now headed by Atty. Quintero has a major focus on fostering trade relations between the Philippines and Australia. This active business council regularly holds high-level events that further strengthen the friendly ties between the Philippines and Australia. These events include the annual Philippines Australia Ministerial Meeting (PAMM), the Philippines Australia Friendship Golf Tournament, trade dialogs, and fellowships.
